The Irish Hospice Foundation’s Library and Information Centre was launched in 2003 as a core element of our Education & Bereavement Resource Centre. The Thérèse Brady Library has a specialist focus on bereavement but also includes other subject areas of interest to the hospice and palliative care community and a collection of Theses completed by MSC Bereavement studies students and researchers in receipt of funding from the Irish Hospice Foundation. A full list of the Library's Theses collection can be viewed HERE (or by conducting a catalogue search for THESES as a keyword or group code) It commemorates the late Thérèse Brady (1930-1999), under whose direction our Bereavement Service began in the late 1980s. Director of Postgraduate Training in Clinical Psychology at UCD for almost 20 years, Thérèse was also a founder member of the Psychological Society of Ireland. Her donation of her own books on bereavement-related topics provided the nucleus around which the Library collection was developed.
